My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy folks...my name is Abby and I am a 13 year old 11 lb shih tzu girl looking for a quiet place to spend my golden years. Sadly my human passed away and her kids had no interest in opening their home to me. Instead they took me to the local animal shelter and requested me to be euthanized. The vets at the facility refused to do so since my only issue is that I am a SENIOR---and SENIORS NEED LOVE TOO...and a second chance at life...and that''s what the girls at FCCR have promised me! Once Karena got me on the grooming table and cleaned me all up I was all smiles and happy tails again. I actually love to be around people and other pups...I won't be joining in the lizard chase running around the backyard but you can be sure I will be walking around to make sure my pals don't cause too much raucous. If you're interested in openig your heart and home to me please fill out an application at www.floridacockerescue.org . I promise to be a good girl and love you forever. ADOPTION FEE: $225.00

More about this rescue

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.

FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
