My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is continuing to do really well in her foster home, but we'd love to see her in a home of her own

Nina was found outside as a young mom (she's just now a year old!) who was completely blind. Somehow she managed to keep her babies safe, healthy, and fed, despite being unable to see.

Nina recently had surgery to remove both eyes and her babies have all found homes. Now it is her turn!

Nina needs just a little time to learn new people and places. She loves to play with toys - especially ones with bells or that make a crinkly sound. She also enjoys treats and her catnip fish. She loves having her back and cheeks scratched and will let you rub her belly - until she starts bunny kicking you!

Nina has a lot of love and personality to share. Her ideal home will be patient with her as she adjusts and she would likely do better with a calm environment where she can feel safe.

More about this rescue

Five Friends Animal Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based animal welfare organization of volunteers dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters, strays, and owner surrenders. We provide these animals with care and temporary homes until we can place them into their permanent homes. We also serve as a resource to our community by providing information on pet ownership, including resources for spay/neuter and positive behavior training. We believe that no animal should be mistreated and are working towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.
