My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born Aug. 3, 2024 in Nampa, Idaho, Bernice is one of seven ACD mix puppies. Wisdom Panel DNA
showed 77% Australian Cattle Dog, single-digit% Mini-American Shepherd, Border Collie, Golden
Retriever, Australian Shepherd, trace% Collie. Her mom was taken in as a stray, looks
like ACD/Shepherd cross. At the time of most recent photos, Oct. 28, Bernice weighed 14.9 pounds.

Gentle Bernice will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a smart, thoughtful,
affectionate, and loyal friend. Make no mistake, she can play hard with friends, but she loves exploring,
trying new things (after weighing the pros and cons), having fun in the house or outside. She’s almost
house trained already, waits her turn, naturally sits when she approaches or is asked. She’s a snuggler, soft and so very sweet.

Bernice's adoption fee is $300 and an additional deposit of $200 will be refunded upon proof of spay, which is a requirement when Bernice is between the ages of 6 and 12 months.

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Bernice, please complete an adoption applicaiton located here: https://idawg.org/application.html

More about this rescue

IDAWG, or the Idaho Domestic Animal Welfare Group, is a non profit 501(c)(3) corporation based in Nampa, Idaho. IDAWG has been in existence since June 2000 and is staffed entirely with volunteers. IDAWG supports southern Idaho animal shelters as needed, and also helps private citizens rehome their dogs. Sometimes this involves transporting or organizing transports for dogs or cats, or sometimes birds, to rescues or permanent homes in adjoining cities and states. IDAWG also offers financial assistance to senior citizens and others needing help paying for spay/neuter services for their companion animals.
