My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's hard to give up a dog you love, but sometimes life circumstances force your decision. Duke's family really loved him, but they lost their home and couldn't feed him properly and he started losing weight. They did what they had to do, what was best for Duke, and brought him to the shelter on Oct. 29. The volunteers can see why the family loved him so much -- not only is he handsome, he's quite sweet and smart. He'll sit, stay, lay down and shake your hand. His family said he is good with children, cats and other dogs, and he is house trained. Duke is about six years old and currently weighs 51 pounds; he needs to gain a few pounds, of course. He is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped; he will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Come meet this faithful guy in Run 849; use ID#5798.

Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
