My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Captain is a delightful four-year-old beagle with a heart of gold! Fully potty trained, super snuggly, neutered, and fully vaccinated—he’s got the whole package! This little guy is microchipped and would make the perfect addition to any family. Sadly, he had to say goodbye to his previous crew because the new baby had an allergy. Talk about a tear-jerker! They tried everything to keep him, but it just didn’t work out.

Now, Captain’s on the lookout for a new home, but there’s a catch: he needs a PHYSICAL fence! Why, you ask? Because he’s a beagle, and once he catches a whiff of something scrumptious, he may be off on an adventure! So, if you’ve got a Captain-proof fenced yard and a big heart, Captain’s ready to bring the love!

Also, beagles love to belt out their tunes, so an apartment or condo might not be the best stage for his concerts.

To adopt Captain, please complete our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org . His adoption fee is $250. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org .

**IMPORTANT: Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database. Current/previous veterinarians need permission to speak with us; if we are not able to speak with them, we cannot complete the review of your application.***

More about this rescue

Our primary mission is to rescue, care for, and find loving homes for homeless cats and dogs. Our secondary goal is to make sure all of these animals are spayed or neutered. It is a big task, but we are ready! Paws and Prayers is based in the Northeast Ohio region. We operate as a non-profit, incorporated organization that functions solely on the efforts of foster homes and adoption volunteers.
