My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi friends! My name is Skully and I'm a 2 month old female possibly a Lab mix (we think) and I am looking for my forever home! I'm the sweetest lovable pup you'll ever meet, especially with my unique markings. I'm of course not full grown so still small 16-18 pounds, and when I am full grown it's estimated I will be 40-60 pounds I would say I'm in the perfect size of not too small and not too big which puts me at the perfect height for convenient head pats! My current foster home has 3 other dogs and 4 cats. I get along with them all, I am very friendly but know my boundaries with other animals. I am always friends with all the dogs and humans I meet. I'm currently working on being potty trained with a dog door, and with the help of a reminder, a schedule and pee pad my accidents are rare. I have been to one big open field to play with my foster family and it was a fun adventure and would love to be your new adventure pup. I'm just as happy to hang out with a toy or bone, I love cuddle time and being a companion, probably my second favorite thing is to by your side or checking in to see what you're up to. If I sound like the perfect pup for you, please apply.

If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. CAWS strives to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take a couple of days to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. My adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
