Hello everyone! Meet Tala! This girl is precious! Don't let her age fool you, she's still got plenty of pep in her step, and a mischievous twinkle in her eye. She loves to go on walks, or spend time chasing her ball. She's also a fan of stuffy toys and of course, treats! Although, we did have to find the right one! She is also a very smart girl! She already knows how to sit, shake, and come. The only request Tala has for her new home is that there are no young children. She has lived with another dog in the past, but as always, we recommend if you have a dog at home bringing them out for a meet-and-greet prior to adoption! Could Tala be the one for you? More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
