My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Pinta and Lulu were brought in by their previous owner on October 17, 2024.

Why Pinta and Lulu are the ones for you:
Meet Pinta and Lulu, two cuties in need of a loving, quiet home. Both girls are a bit fearful, with Pinta being the more reserved of the two. They thrive in a calm environment, so an extended period of confinement in a quiet room will help them adjust to their new home. It's important to provide both high and low hiding spaces where they can feel safe as they settle in. These bonded girls love to connect through food and gentle play, so patience is key-no forced touching, please! Pinta enjoys snuggling in bed once she feels comfortable and is the more active sister, while Lulu prefers to snack and can often be found napping on top of shoes. Lulu is also shy but tends to warm up quicker, especially when treats are involved. We expect they will flourish in a low-traffic home without frequent visitors, allowing them the time they need to come out of their shells. If you're ready to offer a peaceful space for these lovely girls, they're ready to bring joy to your life!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
