How this pet arrived:
Coconut was brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on October 21, 2024.
Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Coconut! Coconut is the sweetest little bun and is ready to be pampered! Coconut has dental malocclusion, which means his teeth don't align correctly. In rabbits, this can cause their teeth to overgrow, as their teeth continuously grow and rely on natural wear from chewing to stay manageable. Coconut's new family will need to provide regular dental check-ups to help keep his teeth in good shape, along with plenty of safe chew toys to help him out. Hanging out with Coconut is an absolute blast, the the best way to bond with him is to spend time with him on the floor and shower him with plenty of greens and Timothy hay! Coconut is a domestic rabbit and should be kept indoors. The nice thing about having indoor rabbits is that they can come out of their cage for bunny playtime in a rabbit-proof area of the home. During this supervised playtime, rabbits often exhibit some of their most fun and interesting behaviors! Coconut will need a large enclosure with free-roaming time (bigger is always better) and would love a family who will interact with him daily to keep him healthy and social! When rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans. Don't forget to bring a carrier for a safe journey home!
RHDV2 Vaccine: Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious disease that can affect rabbits. Due to its presence in San Diego County, all rabbits will receive a mandatory RHDV2 vaccine before adoption. Guests will be charged $14 for this vaccine upon adoption.
