This boy was surrendered when his family came into hard times. He is good with cats, kids, and loves women, selective on men, although he's been ok with our volunteer men, if he had a woman to protect, he's gonna do his job, just as a GSD would. he's big, he's sweet and he's waiting for his fur ever home**Please fill out an application found on our website under "adopt a pet" and send it in to start adoption process.**

More about this shelter

Van Wert is a small rural community. The Van Wert County Humane Society has seen hard times in the past but since the Humane Society is under a new board, things have changed for the better and we work hard to care for and adopt the animals at the shelter. We have a small base of volunteers that will come and spend time with the animals at the shelter. We take donations of any sort, and the Humane Society is 501c3.
