My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner" is a famous line from the film "Dirty Dancing." Like the heroine in that film, our puppy, Tatum, craves love and and wants to be center stage. This cutie is outgoing, confident and affectionate. She will stand at your feet dancing from foot to foot dying to be picked up. So if you want to see Tatum's best self, scoop her into your arms, stroke her fuzzy fur and hug her close.

Friendly? Tatum has never met a stranger. She is great with kids and adults. As for dogs, Tatum's best friend is her littermate, Burton. These two adore wrestling together. If you want to adopt two puppies to keep each other company, Tatum and the handsome Burton make a great pair. But Tatum is a happy, flexible pup. So if you prefer, she can be an only dog, or delight in the company of any sized canine you already own.

Another thing about Tatum is that she has a docked tail. This means that before she came to us someone removed a portion of her tail, leaving a stub behind. This is normal practice for a number of breeds including Boxers and Rottweilers. The important thing is that Tatum's health and happiness are not affected by her shorter tail. And any which way you look at her, Tatum is adorable.

Also important is that Tatum, like Jennifer Grey in "Dirty Dancing," is willing to work hard for what she wants. Tatum has the traits of a very trainable dog, including intelligence, eagerness to please and a healthy enjoyment of food. As long as you have some patience and yummy treats handy, you and Tatum are going to have the time of your life together. So give this playful pup a Forever Home and watch her dance with joy.
