Meet Pickles! Pickles is an adorable three-year-old special-needs female Pug. She was found as a stray and brought to rescue. She was posted online but no owner came forward. It was obvious Pickles had some eye issues (a bulging right eye and tiny "micro" left eye); we suspected she was blind. She was taken to an eye specialist, her micro eye was removed, and she was given drops for her remaining eye. Unfortunately, Pickles IS completely blind, but this does not dampen her happy spirit, or her ability to get around. Pickles is full of wiggles and wags with that adorable curly Pug tail. She is not shy in the least and is always happy to meet a new friend, be they two or four-legged. Pickles LOVES attention and pets and her happiness is contagious. As soon as you meet her, she will cover you with slobbery kisses and silly Pug snorts. Pickles will require daily eye drops for another month, and then a follow up appointment with the eye specialist for further long-term instructions. Despite being blind, Pickles gets around very well using her sense of smell and sound. She will obviously need a secure home with a gated yard and no ungated pools. Pickles' adoption fee includes her prior eye care, spay surgery, microchip, vaccinations up to date, and Rabies certificate.
