This helps Town and Country Animal Rescue with pet care costs.
Uno was returned to Town and Country for not fault of his own, thin with a poor coat, his teeth had plaque buildup, and his gums were red and inflamed. We set up a vet visit for this poor guy. Unfortunately, Uno was diagnosed with stomatitis, a painful condition that causes severe inflammation in his mouth and gums. This makes it incredibly difficult for him to eat, groom, and enjoy life. The most effective treatment for stomatitis is the removal of the affected teeth to reduce the source of inflammation. In Uno's case all of his teeth were removed to give him the best chance at a happy, healthy life. And he has plenty of life to live because this handsome guy and only 2 1/2 years old! His surgery was expensive but worth every penny to get this handsome young sweet guy on the road to recovery. He is all healed up now and this adoptable fellow is looking for place to call home! Uno would prefer a home with an easy-going cat companion. Missing teeth make him feel a little vulnerable!
The adoption fee is $125 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.
Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other cats in your home, they must all be up to date and spayed/neutered prior to application submission. All members of the family must meet the pet.
Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out. But we will coach you on alternative methods of managing cats with claws
*****We are currently operating by appointment only. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an inquiry or email to tchspapillion@gmail.com. Someone from the rescue will contact you and/or your family and determine, on a broad level, whether you might be a fit for the animal. If so, they will provide instructions for completing the application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.
