Meet Zac, an energetic and affectionate dog ready to find his forever home. With his lively personality, he greets everyone with enthusiastic jumps and a wagging tail, showcasing his love for human companionship. Although he pulls on the leash and can be a bit nervous during handling, Zac is friendly with other dogs and eager to bond with people. He would benefit from training to help channel his excitement and improve his leash manners. More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
