My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Bernice but my really close friends and family call me 'Bernie' for short.  I'm a really funny girl that makes people smile when they see me laying around rolling on my back asking for a belly rub. As you can see I have a pretty big belly and it's 7 years of age I'm told that I'm a Munchkin mix cat breed. Yes, I do love belly rubs and climbing in your lap to keep you well loved and warm from my curled up big body. Some people say I look like the Grumpy Cat character, but I truly am not grumpy at all. I am all about giving love and being loved, so if you need some love, I am your girl. I am losing my home through no fault of my own so please consider me so I don't end up at a shelter. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at this email ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

Additional adoption info

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are a full volunteer rescue organization. All of our animals are kept in loving foster homes, receiving the best care possible. A completed application must be submitted and approved to meet with our dogs/pups. A completed application helps us determine compatibility and also helps us to ensure a successful adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a dedicated group of rescue volunteers who desire to find loving homes for animals who have been placed in shelters and are in grave danger of euthanasia. Our heart's desire is to provide you with a loving companion for many years to come.
