My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This lovely orange tabby lady was rescued from a small rural shelter in Tennessee that rarely has adopters come by. It seems that most of these small town shelters are only helped by the rescues that know their help is needed there. Granada is a very special girl that is so loving and friendly and absolutely wants to be around her human foster mom all the time. She follows her around the house almost like a dog and those are the cats we call 'dog' cats. This girl from day one seemed to say to her foster mom who pulled her from the shelter, “Thank you for saving me”. You can almost hear her whisper her gratefulness as she rubs her head up against you.  Granada seems to always be purring, as she is busy “making biscuits” all day long!  At some point in her young life, Granada broke her back left leg.  You would not know it by looking at her; you can only tell by feeling her leg.  It does not seem to have slowed her down.  Granada has a calm disposition as nothing seems to bother her.  Just show this girl a little love and she will own your heart furever.  Are you ready for a purr-fect fur-ball?  Granada is the kitty for you! Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.

PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?
