Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello! My name is Maggie Moo (Monroe), and I'm a 5-year-old, 40 pound, gray and white Pitbull. I have a bright and shiny personality that has never met a stranger. Everyone is my friend!
I'm great with children and other dogs my size or larger. I do not do well with cats or small dogs.
I'm crate trained, house trained, and good on a leash. I enjoy taking walks and will pull a little if I see people to say hello to and a bit more strongly if I see another dog to greet. Again, I’m a social butterfly. What can I say? I love playing with balls and other toys. Especially if there is a squeaker involved.
I was found as a stray living in a cemetery in Humboldt, TN. When I was found, it was obvious from my underbelly that I had had several litters of puppies. None of my puppies were found with me. We think I may have been used for breeding and then dumped. I kind of look like a cow with my black and white moo design and my saggy underbelly. Which is why I am affectionally called “Maggie Moo”. I have some joint issues and arthritis. We are not sure if this is from overbreeding or perhaps other causes. The vet recommends managing signs of soreness or pain with occasional anti-inflammatory medications as needed and keeping me at a healthy weight.
I do have a bit of separation anxiety and will need someone who can be patient with me especially for the first few weeks in your home until I can settle in and be more independent. I'm up to date on all my vaccinations, spayed and have been treated for heartworm disease.
I'm currently being fostered in Franklin, TN, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee. If you're looking for a sweet and social butterfly, I'm your girl!
