Dipper is a 5 year old Norfolk Terrier mix who can’t wait to shine in his forever home! Dipper was rescued from a hoarding situation with several of his celestial pals. We stepped in to help our local shelter and brought him into our rescue for some much needed TLC and snuggles. Despite a rough start to his life, this little man is ready to find his people that he’s been wishing on every shooting star for! Dipper weighs 20 pounds and has an adorable little snaggletooth that gives him a permanent smirk. What a looker! If you’re ready to add a shining star to your home, adopt little Dipper!

Dipper is a loving and low-key gentleman looking for his shooting star. He is shy but acclimates quickly to his people once he knows you are ready to love him. He is curious and comfortable wandering around and exploring his home and yard once he starts getting used to his surroundings. He is starting to figure out that cuddle time is an amazing part of the day and with time we know he will be all up in your lap for hours at a time. Dipper would be an amazing WFH buddy as he is content to lounge on his bed for hours at a time. Dipper is the kind of dog who will be a loving but lowkey presence in his forever home. He’s not going to run marathons but he is excited to explore the world with you. We know that this handsome boy has so much to offer the world and with time, he will be an ambassador for love and affection.

Dipper wakes up between 7-9 AM depending on the day. This dude is happy to sleep in if you want! He goes right out into the yard for potty and exploration before zooming back in for breakfast. He snoozes off and on for most of the morning, occasionally taking breaks to sniff in the yard. Dipper gets a walk in the afternoon and loves checking out all the sights of the neighborhood. He has dinner around 5 PM followed by some playtime in the yard. Once he’s tired himself out, he hops up on the couch for some snuggles as he unwinds from the day. After one last potty trip outside, Dipper curls up on his dog bed and dreams the night away! Dipper enjoys the finer snacks and treats in life and would love being showered in shredded chicken in his forever home.

Dipper has lived with dogs for his entire life and would be a fabulous companion dog in his forever home. He is respectful towards the cat in his foster home. He would benefit from additional leash training but he enjoys his neighborhood and park walks. Due to his shyness, he would prefer an adult only home, or at least a quieter home with teens. Dipper is potty trained and crate trained. If you’re ready to wish upon a star and find true love, come and meet little Dipper!

Dipper is only an option for homes who have prior dog ownership experience. Kids in the home should be over 16.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
