Debbie Gibson knows that with one glance you will be ‘Lost In Her Eyes’! Debbie is a 2 year old Maltese x Poodle (Maltipoo) mix who toured around the world before she landed a residency in our rescue. We promised to find her the best forever home to store her Grammys (and toys) in, and one haircut later this leading lady is ready to hit the road! Debbie weighs 15 pounds and has a gorgeous hypoallergenic coat, which makes her an option for homes with allergies, or those who want less hair around the house!

Debbie is ready to kick off her residency with her forever home! This cuddly girl loves her people more than anything and will happily curl up in your lap for hours at a time. However, she is also a world class toy collector and can keep herself occupied with a squeaky Lamb Chop for hours! Debbie is a triple threat to her core: she can sing, she can act, and she can dance on her back legs with her front paws waving back and forth. She will bring hours of silly enjoyment and antics to her new home, we promise! Debbie absolutely loves romping around and would be a fabulous hiking or adventure buddy, especially as the weather gets warmer. She would also be a great cuddler for a movie marathon for those windy, rainy days. Debbie is great at blinking her puppy dog eyes to win you over, so prepare for lots of trips to the treat bar! Only the best for a popstar, of course.

Debbie starts her morning at 8 AM with a trip outside before coming in for breakfast. After she eats, she takes a morning nap (it’s hard work being a cute dog) on her dog bed with a soft blanket. Throughout the day, she keeps her foster mom company as she works, plays with her toys, sniffs out the yard, and gets her cuddle on! She gets another walk around 5 PM before she has dinner. In the evening, she performs the hits for her foster family with her toys before she gets applause and cuddles. After one last trip outside, she heads to bed to dream of stardom!

Debbie gets along well with other dogs. She could join an existing band or be a solo act! Although practically pawfect in every way, Debbie is working on some leash reactivity. She barks and pulls when passing other dogs due to a lack of socialization. Off leash, she’s perfect! She will need a home ready to help continue her training and socialization! Debbie is completely house trained and has not had an accident in her foster home. She loves people of all ages, especially kids who drop tasty snacks on the floor for her. Debbie will need continued training to ensure she is the best dog she can be, but she’s gotten a great start at doggy popstar camp! Debbie can’t wait to make her mark in her forever home!

Debbie is an option for homes who have owned a dog in the past, even if that experience is less recent. Interested homes must provide a plan for grooming. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
