My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Momma HARRIS is a beautiful young adult gray tabby female kitty. She is a curious, outgoing cat who loves people. She is an active young girl who enjoys playing with her kittens, but who also likes to find a safe perch for some quiet time. She gets along with all the other cats and dogs in her foster home. She wants to know what everyone is doing, and will jump up on your shoulder to say hi. She loves being pet and getting chin scratches, but it’s hard for her to hold still for long. Harris immediately wanted to be pet when she met her foster family, and she greets her people enthusiastically whenever she sees them. She has also been excited to meet new people. She would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for an active and easygoing companion! She would enjoy being adopted with one of her kittens, especially Alex (see photo), and will do best in a household with at least one other friendly young cat.

HARRIS has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet Mama HARRIS at the Cat Lounge, please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet at the Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, 537 W. Centennial Blvd., Springfield.  The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
