Meet Moses, a sweet and loving senior dog who’s ready to bring gentle joy into a forever home! Recently recovering from eye surgery, Moses is a happy boy who loves being outside—whether it's a short walk or relaxing on the patio, he’s all in. Twice a day, he’ll give you a friendly bark to remind you it's mealtime, and in return, he’ll reward you with his companionship, often curling up nearby or even on your lap.

Moses is tolerant of other dogs but would prefer to be your one-and-only. Because of past experiences, he’s not a fan of crates, and he does best when allowed the freedom to explore and rest at his own pace. Moses gets along well with everyone, including older children, and doesn’t mind head rubs—though he’s a bit cautious with objects near his face.

Weighing about 20 pounds with a white and brown coat, Moses is a low-maintenance companion who doesn’t require any medication. He enjoys smooth jazz when left alone, has a favorite donut bed, and sometimes even joins his person for a cozy night’s sleep. Moses is nearly potty trained and uses pads by the door. If you’re ready to open your heart to this wonderful, mellow soul, please submit an application.

More about this rescue

Arizona Small Dog Rescue is a non profit registered 501(c)3 no kill rescue shelter. We are a group of volunteers who have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We save most of our animals from kill shelters around the valley, but also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders. Owner surrender fee’s vary depending on space and availability. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, medically examine, microchip, and evaluate and/or socialize all dogs that come into our rescue before placing up for adoption to pre-screened homes. We rescue many dogs every week and always have a wide variety of personalities and breeds available who would be a perfect fit for any family and any home.
