Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Coco, a 10 year old, 9lb, female Toy Poodle that is absolutely precious in person! She came to us when her owner passed away and the adult children took her in. Not more than a few months after taking in Coco, they dumped her at the shelter where she was so scared. We got her out immediately and into a wonderful foster home. Coco came to us with double ear infections, a mouth full of bad teeth, and flea infested. We had her treated by our vet who did tell us she has a low grade heart murmur that does not require any medication at this time. We also had her full dental done and because of the low grade heart murmur, they required full bloodwork and an echocardiogram done which came back with nothing of any alarms or major issues. She recently had an xray on her trachea for some coughing and they did diagnose her with a very slight collapsing trachea which is very normal for these toy breeds. Right now, she does not require any medications, except for some natural drops that are added to her food 2x a day. Her future adopters will need to keep up with regular vet visits so they can keep tabs on any changes. Coco has also had her eyes checked and right now she has the normal, older dog cloudy eyes, but also do not require any meds at this time and yes, she still has her sight. We have had Coco in our rescue for almost a year now, so we are looking for a forever home for her that will be patient and loving during her time of settling in. She needs a home with an owner that is retired or works from home. She can be your one and only dog in the home or she can be with another calm, older dog. She doesn't do well in a chaotic home. Due to her trachea, she cannot go on walks with a leash as it triggers her coughing. She can go in a stroller, but honestly, she just prefers and does best just being home. She LOVES laying on the couch with you and being by your side. She is basically a homebody and needs that same type of personality in an owner. She would do best in a home with a yard to go potty and sunbathe. Coco is such a little petite cutie and deserves a forever home that will love and cherish her as much as we do!
Coco is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
We only adopt in the Greater Los Angeles areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
