Meet Tessa!

Tessa is a 9-month-old sweetheart ready to find her forever family! This charming pup is house-trained and crate-trained (especially when she has a treat) and loves learning. She already knows commands like "sit" and is eager to learn more since she’s very food-motivated.

She’s an expert snuggler, loves to fetch toys, and enjoys a good game of tug-of-war. Tessa is comfortable around dogs of all sizes, though she especially enjoys being around pups her own size. While she’s curious about cats, she’s always respectful and cautious. She’s gentle with people and kids, especially when introduced gradually, and will bond closely with her caregivers.

On walks, Tessa is still learning not to pull but is progressing. She does show some anxiety and fear when strangers approach or when other pets come near her kennel, but with a patient and understanding family, she’ll continue to grow in confidence.

Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.
