My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gentle, Soft-spoken, Beautiful

Our Meg White is a bit quieter than her namesake, but her low and soft meow is music to our ears! She hasn't been at APA! long and is still settling into the shelter environment, but from the beginning, though careful, she has been receptive to gentle pets. We think as she gets more comfortable, she will show more of her affection.

When Meg is feeling brave, she will explore every nook and cranny of her space! She can be found tucked away and napping in all sorts of places. She'll need some time to settle into her new home, and having private and comfy places will help her feel calm!

Though shy and cautious right now, Meg is good with her feline roommate at the shelter, and easily chills out around him.

Meg hasn't felt playful yet, but she does love to climb the cat tower, so she would likely make good use of one in her new home!

Her ideal home is quiet, with people who can gently help her ease out of her little shell. She could be okay with kids who are respectful and experienced with shy kitties. Give her some personal space, places to explore, and a cat tree to climb, and then watch her bloom and blossom!

Meg has a rich, solid black coat and the cutest black nose! She's a little gem. Contact us to learn more about her and to meet her!

Met White has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. She can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
