My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oodle TX is a sweet old man who is close to 11 years old and weighs under 14 pounds. He is very affectionate and is quite assertive about letting you know that you need to pet him. He likes his head rubbed a lot and when I rub his back he turns around so I can scratch his butt - if I stop he will paw at me!

Oodle also has a great appetite and will hang out by my feet when I'm cooking. I've never had a dog that played fetch but somehow he taught me to throw a toy for him and he is persistent about playing once he gets started!

Oodle also ignores the cat in his foster home but does well with other doggie friends. While on walks he has met several neighbor dogs. When Simon was on the other side of his fence all went well but when they met each on a leash, Oodle growled so he appears to be somewhat leash reactive.

The first step is to submit an adoption application at www.northstarpets.org. Volunteers will process your application. Please be patient!

Home Check

In a very very small number of situations, a home check may be needed if we have any questions or concerns after processing the application.

Meet the Pet

A meet and greet will be arranged for approved applicants with you and your entire family including your current pets.

Adult Dog: 375.00
Senior Dog: 200.00
Puppy: 375.00 + 100.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit
All adopters must complete application and be approved by the rescue.

In many areas of the country, especially in the South, the situation for animals is desperate: Chained outside and starving, homeless and running loose, or just simply no longer wanted and abandoned in an overburdened and underfunded facility that can’t possibly take another.
