Please contact Angela (takeakittenhome@gmail.com), (510) 909-6737 for more information about this pet. Adopt Churu: Please read what the rescuer of this 2 year old boy has to say about this sweetie.
I rescued a kitty that was attacked by a coyote only to find out he did not want to be go back outside. While he is very scared, he is a total lover boy and is warming up to indoor life. He loves to sit next to me and purrs up a storm. He loves to chirp at me in the morning and great me with lots of headbutts. So far, he has been sweet, tolerant, and so gentle even when scared which includes all forms of touch and handling (good with being held, paw touching, tail touching, and veterinary work). He is shy at first, so he needs a patient and experienced adopter who will give him time to show his loving personality.
Churu has had veterinary care which includes neutering, shots, dewormer, flea medication, microchip, and SNAP testing. He tested FIV+, but that does stop him from having a happy and healthy long life. Having FIV means that he under no circumstances should not go outside and if there are other cats in the home, he needs slow introductions, and the other cats should be vaccinated. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds. Churu was likely attacked by other cats while fending for himself outside.
I will be continue to evaluate how he is with other animals, children, and potential human family members. This assessment will take time so please be patient with any lack of answers.
