My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes, dog-savvy cats
Good with kids: Yes, dog-savvy children
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Mostly

Hennifer is a playful, fun-loving girl who is ready to go on many adventures with her future humans. She is looking for a active, patient family who is ready to shower her with love and is excited to continue her training.

Hennifer has typical boxer mix energy, where she loves a good play session and will crash hard for a nap after. She adores playing with other dogs and is learning how to take cues from other pups. She'd do just fine with or without a canine sibling. Hennifer's basically ignored cats when fostered down south, so she'd do well with a dog-savvy cat in the home. Because she loves meeting humans (small and big) alike, she'd do best with dog-savvy kids who are able to give her some time and space to get to know them.

She is mostly crate-trained and house-trained. She is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. Hennifer may bark or whine at first but eventually settles and will continue to improve her crate training with time and structure. She is mostly house trained and will continue to thrive when taken out on a consistent schedule and routine. She is working on her leash manners and enjoys her daily walks.

Hennifer's a vibrant gal who's zest for life will likely have you falling in love with her in no time- is she the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
