My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Unknown, likely yes
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes

Hilary is a sweet gal who is looking for her forever companion! She is a typical puppy who enjoys a good play session, followed by a nap on the couch.

She is fostered in a multi dog household and loves playing with other dogs, of all ages and sizes. When her doggy friends are all done playing she happily entertains herself with toys, bones or her personal favorite, ice cubes! While she has not yet met cats or children, with her gentle disposition she would likely do well with a feline or a human sibling (or both)!

Hilary is fully house and crate trained, and has quickly adapted to her foster family’s routine. Hilary sleeps soundly in her crate overnight and has been crated for short periods during the day. She especially loves when she gets a frozen treat during crate time. She is a smart girl who is very food motivated and eager to please. She is working on “sit”, “down” and “place” commands. She is making progress with her leash walking skills, and still has the puppy zig zag walk. Hilary is looking for a family who is ready to welcome a puppy and continue working on her basic training and puppy manners.

Hilary's dazzling personality and snuggles to match will surely have you falling in love with her in no time- is she the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
