My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Good with kids: Yes
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Yes

June Bug is sweet as her name implies and is ready to give so much love to her future family! She loves cuddling up on the couch and being part of the pack. She's currently fostered in a multi-dog home with cats and kids and has fit in just fine, so she'd likely do well in nearly any home.

June Bug is a low to medium energy gal, where she enjoys an adventure but could snuggle on the couch all day with you if she could! She gets along great with dogs and adjusts her play style accordingly, so she'd be fine with or without a canine sibling. Her mild temperament has done well with cats and kids in the home. June Bug really is a go-with-the flow type of gal.

She is smart gal who's eager to please. June Bug is mostly crate trained and fully house trained. She is crated occasionally during the day and overnight without any issues. She may protest being in the crate at first but will improve with structure and time. June Bug is working on her leash manners and would do best with an owner to provide her extra guidance when on walks.

If you’re looking for a well-rounded, affectionate companion, she is ready to bring joy to your home- are you ready to call her family?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
