My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hanson!

Hanson entered Long Beach Animal Services as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on October 30th to become a Frosted Face.

Hanson is very sweet, LOVES belly rubs, and gets along well with other dogs. He was born with a small right front foot, but as you can see in the videos, he doesn't let that stop him from getting around!

Hanson went on a two-week Frosted Fling in the beginning of November, and because he is doing so well in a home environment, he is staying until he is adopted!

His Foster Mom reports:

"There are so many things to love about Hanson! His incredible capabilities and independence are just a couple of them. Even though he was born with one paw shorter than the other, it never slows him down-he always finds a way to figure things out. He loves being close to you but isn't overly clingy; he can happily enjoy his own company. He's gentle, rarely barks, and brings so much peace to the home.

Hanson even goes to the hair salon with me! He is the best boy and the most well behaved. He never marks inside, and he doesn’t bark at new people as they come inside. He’s happy to be cozy on his bed and getting all the belly rubs. Hanson is just a baby, and the bestest boy

Hanson is more active in the mornings and afternoons, so I pop him in his stroller for longer walks while getting my own steps in. Hanson patiently waits by the front gate to let me know he's ready for our neighborhood stroller adventures. He's so content riding along, taking in the scenery, but loves his backyard time too. He's full of energy during his "sniffing safaris," making sure to mark every tree but never inside the house. He loves to hop out for grassy stretches, taking care of business and soaking up the sights.

At home, Hanson enjoys lounging by the door, sunning his belly, and listening to the birds. He'll explore a bit and then bask in the sunshine. After dinner around 4 PM, he's perfectly happy to snooze through the rest of the evening.

Hanson is incredibly friendly with everyone he meets, including new faces. He truly loves people of all ages.

Hanson isn't a fan of being confined to a crate, but luckily, he doesn't need one. He's house-trained, non-destructive, and handles being left alone like a champ. I've even monitored him on a camera-he simply naps until you return. At night, he's happy to sleep in his own bed and takes care of himself effortlessly. Despite his shorter paw, he's fully capable of jumping on and off the couch. Hanson is such a resilient, loving soul who's ready to bring endless joy to a lucky home."
