To know Shiso is to love Shiso. She's a lifestyle in and of herself: an icon, a best friend, and the best cat you haven't yet met. Oh, and have you noticed she is absolutely stunning? We call her our pretty princess, and we'll let the reasons present themselves (see photos).
While always destined for the limelight, Shiso wasn't always the gorgeous, healthy girl you see before you. When she showed up at an outdoor colony in Crown Heights last spring, she was skinny, dirty, and breathing effortfully through her mouth. The colony caretaker brought her inside and called us for help, and thank goodness she did. After a stay in the ER, we determined she had FIP, a completely treatable and non-recurring disease that necessitates daily medication for three months and observation for another three. Over the six months in foster, Shiso began to shine and thrive, quickly becoming queen bee in the house and even earning her own Instagram account (@0.5xshiso).
Now, Shiso spends her days chasing toys, cooing for attention, and generally keeping us all in line as self-appointed house supervisor. She loves to snuggle up on the bed beside you and may even become as obsessed with you as we are with her. She is the perfect cat for someone who needs a daily laugh and is ready to become a burgeoning social media personality's assistant.
Shiso is 1.5yrs old, spayed, chipped, up to date on vaccines, and negative for FeLV/FIV and parasites. She'd do best in a home as a solo cat with lots of human interaction, or with a submissive but playful cat to be her sidekick.
