Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Major fun, major joy, and major love!!! Major is one of our favorite dogs here at AAS. He’s a lab mix (lab mixed with what? We don’t really know ??) who is a perfect medium size at around forty pounds. Major is a cheerful, loving kissy face who is excited to make any and everyone’s acquaintance! Major is also very special - for the past week or so, he’s been my official assessment assistant. Major helps me by meeting new dogs to ensure that they are friendly, stable, and safe with other dogs before we place them up for adoption. Major has the PERFECT temperament for that, because he’s a sweet-natured “go along to get along” guy who is always happy to play with any dog who wants to play with him. And if the other dog fails assessment by snapping or growling at Major, he just will back off and go do something else instead (“yeah, well…that’s just like, your opinion, man”) He does not engage. This is a VERY underrated trait in a dog!! Major is not only somebody who won’t start trouble, he’s somebody you could take places and not have to worry about others starting trouble either. Major has no interest in drama. What a good boy!! We hope you’ll come meet him and see for yourself. I’m sure you’ll fall MAJORLY in love! (Major’s buddy in the photos is Gunner, who passed his temperament assessment this morning but has not been neutered yet. If you’re interested in Gunner stay tuned - he’ll be available in a week or two.)
