Meet Soda Pop, a 4-year-old mixed breed looking for a quiet, understanding adult-only home where he can continue to thrive. Soda Pop initially showed signs of nervousness in the shelter, but he’s come a long way since then! Once outside, he loosens up and is more comfortable exploring on leash, accepting treats, and even seeking gentle attention. He’s made great strides, now greeting new people with a loose and wiggly body language. In his brief stay with a foster, he relaxed enough to curl up on the couch, adjusted to a crate overnight, and showed no interest in engaging with the foster’s cat. Soda Pop is housetrained and seems to appreciate time outside, where he’s free to roam and sniff. He may have a bit of a guard instinct around food, so he’ll do best with people who can respect his space and understand his quirks. With continued patience, Soda Pop is sure to become a devoted, loyal companion for the right home!
If you`re interested in meeting Soda Pop, please email his foster at Austin_little37@yahoo.com.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.
HSC is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations and we do not receive government funding.
