This handsome hunk is Dodger, a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who currently weighs 26.2 pounds. His foster mom describes him as a playful, rambunctious, and sweet puppy. His hobbies include chewing, playing with his foster fur siblings, and romping around the yard. Although he plays a little rough, he's good about taking correction from other dogs. He loves to play and initiates play.
Dodger would do well with another dog in his family, but it's not required. A canine pal would need to be OK with his play style. You see, Dodger loves to steal toys and then hoards them! He would likely do well with children that can handle his energy.
Dodger is working on house-training and does well in his crate. He can be crated for a typical work day and sleeps through the night in his crate. It takes Dodger a moment to settle down (whining/whimpering), so shared walls might not be best for him.
Dodger's foster mom shared: "He is eager to learn and is treat motivated. He already knows 'sit.' Overall, he's a great puppy and would make a great addition to a family."
His adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
