Hallie considers her kennel her sanctuary and feels at ease when she has a cozy spot to retreat to. She can be protective of her food, so she's even learned to enjoy mealtime in her kennel. While she is protective of her food bowl, she does well taking treats from her foster mom while the other dogs are around.
This sweet girl absolutely adores people and has a soft spot for kids; she’s a pro at giving big, wet Boxer kisses and is known for smothering you with love. Since she’s so enthusiastic about meeting new friends, she’s still learning to keep all four paws on the floor and will benefit from a bit of guidance to avoid jumping with excitement.
Hallie is selective with other dogs, but she has done well with those her size or smaller. She’s also coexisting well with the cats in her foster home.
Hallie is crate-trained and making progress with house training. She's doing well with regular potty breaks and even gives a helpful cue by spinning when she needs to go.
Her ideal home will have a yard for her to run and play in, along with a stash of tennis balls to keep her happy. A durable, well-latched kennel is essential, as she has a bit of a Houdini side, but with patience and encouragement, Hallie is sure to blossom into the loyal, loving companion she’s meant to be.
Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
