My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howl is a beautiful little boy and, unlike his name, he is actually pretty quiet. Howl likes to be in charge and will only do things on his own terms. We once gave him a kiss on the forehead and he looked at us startled, like what the heck did we just do to him? He can be shy in new environments and with new people so he needs someone to give him some time to adjust. Then, you'll find out he is truly just a big baby. Once he knows he is safe, Howl will snuggle with you and fall asleep in your arms. Like your typical kitten, Howl also loves to play! He enjoys toys and climbing. He likes the company of his siblings and gets along well with cats. He isn't too sure about dogs yet but we think he could adjust to a smaller/calm dog. Unfortunately, we think a home without kids would be best. We estimate that Howl's birthday is August 1st. He has been dewormed and vaccinated, but he is not neutered yet. Please keep in mind that he will need to come back for surgery in Decemeber. We already have appts scheduled for him and his siblings. Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Adoption Fees:
$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)
$125 for adult cats
$100 for senior cats

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
