Meet Harlow, a young, vibrant spirit filled with joy and love. She's a friend to all, with a playful and funny nature that is infectious. Her sweetness is unparalleled, and her gentle demeanor is a testament to her kind heart. Harlow loves going for walks and is a pro at walking on a leash, making her a great companion for outdoor adventures. She's a social butterfly, getting along well with other dogs and adoring the company of children. But beware, this playful pup loves to leap and bound, so she'll need a tall fence to keep her safe. With her friendly nature and love for play, Harlow is sure to bring laughter, love, and a touch of sweetness into any home. Adopt Harlow, and let her fill your life with joy, companionship, and unending loyalty.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters should meet dogs/cats wanted for adoption. No animals will leave the shelter without being spayed/neutered, including those going to rescue. You are asked to fill out an adoption application which will be reviewed by the director of the shelter (a vet reference is needed). If approved the shelter staff will contact you and schedule an appointment with our vet to have the animal altered. The adoption fee is paid and the adoption contract signed before the scheduled surgery date. The process can be as soon as the following day or as long as a week depending on the vet's schedule. The adoption fee depends on the age, sex, if they fixed, etc. ranging from $5.00 to $75.00

If you have any questions regarding the process, please contact us via this link:

More about this shelter

Our mission is to promote humane treatment to all animals and to prevent cruelty to animals by investigating and resolving all complaints made by the public. We strive to adopt animals to forever loving homes, reunite animals to their rightful owners and inform the public about the lifelong commitment needed for our four-legged companions. The Jackson County Animal Shelter will also provide a sanctuary for the unwanted, lost, orphaned and neglected. We will make every effort to educate the public about pet over-population and the importance of spaying and neutering their animals.
