From his foster mom- Quincy is such a beautiful cat, inside and out. His big eyes, the color of the first leaves of autumn, are so filled with love (and mischief) it was very difficult to let him go but I hope his perfect person reads this and gives him the life he deserves. This angel boy was part of a confiscation case and I suspect he had dog siblings he was fond of- barking never scared him and once he even starting purring and rubbing his face on my phone after I played a video of a dog playing and making noises. He’s a big boy who’s very strong and a master at escaping cat burritos (I was trying to clip his nails). He’s curious about cats but seems to prefer humans. His ideal home would give him equal parts play and adventure (he’s a big fan of tunnels!) and cuddle time (his favorite thing next to playing is sleeping). He’s not overly chatty but does respond if you speak to him (especially when I practiced Portuguese with him). If you’re thinking of adopting this special boy & have any questions please feel free to contact me, his foster mom, at eovasquez18@gmail.com

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
Orange County Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. We operate on a first come, first serve basis to give everyone an equal opportunity.
We strive to place every pet in a furever home, which is why the first step of adoption from our shelter is coming to our location and interacting with the pet of your choice. Adoption applications can be filled out at our shelter once interaction has taken place and are not available online.
Once your application is approved, we will ask for payment of the adoption fee.
Standard adoption fees are $55 for dogs and $40 for cats. Ferrets are $40 to adopt. Pocket pets like rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters are $15 to adopt.
We ask interested adopters to please come prepared with photo identification.
We welcome adopters from out of county and state, but do not transport animals. Interaction is still required as part of the adoption process.
