My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Iris, an adult dog with a heart full of love and a spirit that`s brimming with energy. Iris is the embodiment of joy, her goofiness is contagious, and her friendly nature makes her a delight to be around. She`s the type of dog who`d love to accompany you on your morning jogs, play fetch in the park, or simply snuggle up next to you while you read a book. Iris`s energy is endless, and she`s always ready for a new adventure. Despite her energetic personality, Iris is also incredibly gentle and has a knack for making everyone she meets feel special. Iris should be adopted because she has so much love to give and she`s just waiting for the right person to share it with. Her zest for life and friendly nature would make any home a happier place.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
