Astra is an adorable, 5-6 month old, female House Hippo. She’s everyone’s favorite! Astra is squishy and cuddly and has rolls for days. This beautiful, black, beauty is her foster mom’s favorite. She’s crate trained, uses a doggie door, and does great with a wide variety of canine foster siblings. She’s looking for a home with a fenced in yard that can support her while she continues to grow up into a wonderful ambassador of her breed!

Astra is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

Mile High Canine Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Colorado non-profit organization established in 2019. We are 100% volunteer run and foster home based. MHCR aims to provide abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs a loving home to grow and learn in until a suitable forever home is found. While in foster care, our dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested/treated, microchipped, and vaccinated. We rescue dogs from Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.
