My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Butter is a Great Pyrenees mix. We have had him for 2 years and during that time have put a lot of work into his training. He is great with people and kids, but not other dogs. I don’t have the confidence he needs. For his safety, and the safety of other dogs, he needs to find someone who is comfortable exerting control.

He is 85 lbs , neutered and responds to place, heal, sit, shake, wait, and load up (kennel and car). Additionally, his trainer, Bernadette at Black Paw, said she offered to do a session with new adoptees/ foster on how to use electronic buzz collar, his commands etc. and she said she’d be happy to talk with you all about him. He is loved but needs more than I can give.

He smiles, looks deep into your eyes, love treats and Nyla bones. He loves walks, and snuggling on the coach. Because of his Pyrenees genes he is protective of his people. He would not make a good farm dog despite his breed.

Rehoming him is the hardest thing I have ever done.
