My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet George! George is also known as:
- Gentleman George
- Georgie Porgie, pudding & pie
- Mr. Perfect

Because, well, he's pretty perfect. George is a laid-back, quiet, friendly, distinguished gentleman. He's totally housetrained, loves all people (but is not jumpy or pushy about getting attention), and is basically polite in every way. He's easy to walk, gentle taking treats, good for the vet, and totally non-destructive when left home alone. You really couldn't ask for a better dog.

Come meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in the backyard at AARF's new location- 302 Thurston St, W-S. Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website. Remember that we do not adopt more than a 45-minute radius from our facility in Winston Salem.

George is an absolutely perfect office companion. His foster mom works from home, and George keeps her company all day, quietly resting in his dog bed. He just needs love, booty scratches, good food, and a short daily walk to keep him happy.

George lives harmoniously with other dogs who are calm and polite like him. He would not appreciate rambunctious roommates. George also lives with older kids, and he's wonderful with them.

George would make a wonderful companion for seniors, less active families, or anyone who wants a quiet and loving friend.
