Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Matcha was adopted in 2018 and renamed Lucy. She has come back to AOS due to her owner having a change in living situation/allergies. Lucy is a sweet six year old girl. She enjoys pets, making biscuits, and playing with wand toys. She is quiet and mellow during the day, and seems to be more active at night. Come see if this soft and kind girl is the kitty companion for you!
Important Notes:
Lucy lived with a dog before she was relinquished and they did NOT get along. She is looking for a home without dogs. It is unknown how she would do with cats or small children. Based on her personality, a quiet home would likely be best!
Lucy's former owner reported that she was given free reign outdoors in a fenced yard all night every night before being relinquished. It is NOT recommended for domestic cats to spend large amounts of time outdoors, especially unsupervised. Be careful when opening outside doors around Lucy. Baby gates are a good tool while you get to know new pets.
While we certainly DO NOT want Matcha outside by herself, the following tips can help cats safely spend time outside:
-Enclosed "catios"
-Walking outside on a harness (after practicing inside)
-Staying up to date on flea, tick, and worm medicine
-Only spending time outdoors with owner supervision
-Wearing a tear away collar with a tag containing the owner's contact info (even if they are also chipped!)
Below is her original bio from 2018:
The other girl in the litter, Matcha is sweet and independent. She loves to have her personal space and will seek out a nice sunny spot to relax and take it all in. But she does love to snuggle and will seek our her person for head bumps, blanket biscuits and butt scratches. Matcha requests a house without dogs and would probably be best with teenagers or respectful older children. This micropanther is extremely intelligent and will need someone to keep her busy mind entertainment.
