Sweet Myka is a 3-year-old love bug. She is quiet, well-mannered, and overall a gentle giant. She is a very affectionate girl who walks beautifully on leash. Myka knows her basic commands such as sit, watch and wait. Being food motivated makes training a breeze for this girl! Found as a stray with her sister, Tova a few weeks after hurricane Helene, Myka has flourished in her new environment at the rescue. We would love for Myka and her sister Tova to be adopted together as they have been with each other since birth and. Myka is fully vaccinated, microchipped and is now ready for her forever home.

Almost Home Dog Rescue NC is a small foster-based rescue group in Western Carolina. After volunteering for years in a local county animal shelter, we could not turn away from the dogs that needed our help the most. We have created a home environment with comfy cabins for the pooches in our fun red barn and provide loads of fun, enrichment and training for the pups in our care.
