My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spider!

Spider is a 3 year old, 8lb Persian Mix who loves to meow and chirp to ask you politely for pets. Headbutts for scratches are her specialty!

Spider's perfect day involves finding a soft, warm spot to curl up in, lots of scratches, a little bit of chase with a mouse looking toy, treats and food, and cuddling with her humans on the couch to end the day. Being around her people is her most favorite thing!

Spider's superpowers include being completely litter trained, very confident and curious, totally content to sit around all day in the sun or a soft blanket/couch, and supersonic hearing to know exactly which rustle is her cat food. She prefers not to be surprised by the vacuum cleaner or other big noisy objects, but once she sees that it's not a threat, she comes out from under the couch and cuddles with her human. She has not been tested with dogs or cats in this foster home, but people from her previous life mentioned that she got along with other cats in the busy shelter.

Some of Spider's favorite things are scratches on her head and chest, lying in the sun, cuddling on your lap (with more pets), chasing toys on a string, and chirping for attention. She LOVES to eat any treat-- salmon, tuna, wet cat food, she just loves to eat!

If you're looking for a low energy, super affectionate, medium sized cat who will climb into your lap and tell you how much she loves you, then Spider is your perfect match!

Spider is currently being fostered in Bayonne NJ. Her adoption fee is $100.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, combo tested, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
