Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pine is a sweet angel. More on the reserved side, she will startle if approached too quickly. But don't let that dissuade you, Pine will seek you out for snuggles, play time, or just to chat.

She likes to falls asleep while being held in your hands and having her cheeks or belly stroked. In a quiet setting, Pine will walk up to her human to play or snuggle. She will get your attention by calling you if she feels ignored.

She likes to play and snuggle with her siblings, the foster dog, and especially, her human. You'll know how happy she is from her loud purrs. Don't mind Clover staring into your eyes. She wants to get your full attention. She loves her foster's dog and will take any opportunity to rub up against her and snuggle with her.

Pine and Clover would like to be adopted together. Pine would do well in a home with quiet adults, older cat savvy kids, or a calm dog. A busy, active, or loud household would not be ideal. Are you the perfect family for this bonded pair? Let's meet up!

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
