My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mellie is a young great Pyrenees whose job was to be guardian of the ducks and chickens on the family ranch but she'd rather play with them than guard them so she needs a new home. She's been an outdoor dog and hasn't had much city life so she needs to learn leash manners and house rules and is a fast learner. She's awesome with other dogs and with cats and gentle with children! Mellie is a playful and happy girl who will adapt like all Pyrs, and blossom in the love of a family who will guide her. We hope that is with you!

TGPR is a 501.c.3 organization dedicated to the protection and rescue of Great Pyrenees in Texas and surrounding areas.

TGPR helps Great Pyrenees that are considered at-risk for physical/mental injury, cruelty and abandonment and that may be subject to euthanasia and inhumane treatment.

We have Great Pyrenees of all different ages. We want to find just the right Pyr for you. We also adopt out of state, so don't hesitate if you aren't in Texas!
