Imagine spending nearly your whole first year of life in a shelter. Well, that's exactly what Girlie did. She was born in the county animal shelter and has remained in the building for over a year as part of an animal neglect and cruelty case. Despite that, this gorgeous girl is remarkably well-adjusted, dog-friendly, and people-friendly. She is now FREE from the legal system and available for adoption or foster!
Girlie is smart and eager to please. She is understandably a bit shy and needs help with socialization and confidence. A social, confident dog sibling would be a great start, along with basic training classes.
Girlie is smart and vigilant! She loves her humans, and once she feels safe, she will do anything for them.
Age: 1+ year
Weight: 70 lbs
Vetting: Spay scheduled, up to date on vaccines, HW negative, and on prevention.
Temperament: Good with older respectful kids, good with other dogs.

To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
