My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Benji, a delightful kitten rescued from a feral colony during a TNR project. After his capture, it was found that he had an issue with his left eye. While recovering from neuter surgery, his trapper quickly discovered his friendly and affectionate personality. Concerned about his eye condition and his loving nature, they decided against releasing him and contacted his current foster, who welcomed him with support from CAWS.

Benji recently had eye surgery and is doing well in his recovery. His foster has found him to be incredibly loving, always seeking human attention, purring loudly, and enjoying belly rubs. He loves to play, eat, and relax in his cozy cat cave.

Easygoing and adaptable, Benji would fit well in a variety of home environments. He thrives on social interaction and would be happy with a feline companion to play with. If you are looking for a loving and playful addition to your family, Benji could be the perfect match! Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
