She is less on the shy side, as Birdie has become more willing to hang out with humans, and once she feels comfortable with a leash around her neck, we are sure she will be even happier being able to get outside and play with other dogs. Birdie is being given the opportunity to be leash walked, as a collar is very new to her. We have been pushing her out of her comfort zone in order to help her become more adoptable. That first step is always tough for dogs but well worth it once they realize how many doors will be opened by learning to accept a collar and leash! Knowing she has friends waiting to play with her has really made a difference in her demeanor, AND---she loves toys!

All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.
